Description

A one-bowl wonder that’s deeply chocolatey, gooey in the center, and topped with a crackly crust—Hot Fudge Pie is the kind of comforting dessert you’ll crave on repeat.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped (or ½ cup dark chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • Optional Additions:
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • ½ teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon or Kahlúa
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla and salt.
  4. Add flour and stir until just combined. Fold in any optional additions now.
  5. Pour batter into prepared dish and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the top is set but the center still jiggles slightly.
  7. Cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra indulgence, top with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a drizzle of caramel. For a firmer texture, refrigerate and reheat slices when ready to serve.
