Description

A comforting dish with tender chicken smothered in a creamy sauce served over fluffy rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
  5. Remove chicken and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, pour heavy cream over it, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  9. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes until cheese melts and chicken is fully cooked.
  10. Serve hot.
